I provide individuals, families, and children evidenced-based psychological treatments which focus on enhancing client motivation and helping clients to apply skills to specific challenges and events in their lives.
I offer experience and expertise in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for teens struggling to cope with urges for self harm and chronic suicidal ideation. I also provide Child Centered Play Therapy for children ages 5 and older.
Additionally, I have experience as a psychiatric social worker and medical social worker, contributing to my 20 years in the mental health field.
I have adopted 2 Siberian cats, and Lumi is in training to participate in Animal Assisted Therapy in my office. Her training was disrupted by the COVID-19 Pandemic and I hope to begin again with her in the future. She does occasionally join in telehealth sessions too.
